Young but an old face

Life hangs nearest from a pole
The skies here are gray
Flat
Like my heart
No children here will play
No laughter only cries
There's a day that haunts me
It holds me forever
Beyond one of those pleas
Screaming
Now or never
Another sorrow dance
I wake
In black trance
It's death
It's my romance
No sign for a chance
Out
Brought into black
I morn for the others sake
My face is but slack
